Scopes, Binoculars, and Spotting Scopes.

Scopes

Our founder, Waldo Johnson, was famous for saying,"The worst scope is better than the best open sight".  It's even more true today! Open sights force your eyes to try to focus on two things at once. The front sight and the target. With a scope, you only focus on the target. The crosshairs of the scope  are automatically superimposed over the target in the sight plane.

When you talk to gun people about scopes, you're likely to get many different opinions. At Johnson's, we have opinions about scopes too. Here's a short list:

  1. A good scope you only have to buy once, a cheap scope you pay for over and over.

  2. Get enough scope.

  3. Don't get too much scope.

We carry full scope lines for both Bushnell and Leupold. These two companies make scopes to fit all your needs and most any price range. Two scopes make up a large percentage of all the scopes we sell. Because we sell so many, we can get special pricing for them.

Bushnell Trophy 1.75-4x32mm Brush Scope.

Leupold VX-1 3-9x40mm

In addition to these two manufacturers, we stock scopes from the following companies:

Simmons - Weaver - BSA - Millett - Nightforce

Binoculars

At Johnson's, we don't just sell binoculars, we can help you find a pair that's just what you need. We stock binoculars from the following companies:

Bushnell - Leupold - Pentax

Spotting Scopes

The best way to pick a spotting scope is to look through a few. It's often hard to find a store that stocks more than one or two scopes. Not here! We have a large selection in stock today from the manufacturers listed above.
